Treasurer Search and GDPR (part 2)

The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens won’t be imposing fines immediately after the GDPR comes into effect on the 25th of May. Sander Dekker, the Dutch Minister for Legal Protection, promised the Dutch data protection supervisor will mainly be focussing on raising awareness for the first few months (see link). This is good news for those who were starting to panick over the upcoming enforcement of the GDPR. This is not us, we are on track with the implementation process.

What we’ve been doing

Over the past few weeks we studied the law, screened our network and looked at our systems and processes. All this to see whether we’re ready for GDPR. This resulted in a to-do list with action points which we hope we can cross of soon.

What to expect from us?

Right now we’re working on updating our privacy statement on our website and the implications for our database. To create a GDPR compliant situation, we’re going to send an e-mail asking for your consent to be included in our database in the near future. We need this to rightfully process your data. With your consent we can send you interesting job offers, available candidates and other relevant information.

Even if you’re not looking for a new job or if you don’t have a job opening right now, it can be good for you to have your data included in our database. Our success is based upon on long lasting relationships in which we keep each other updated. Who knows what the future will bring?

Even if you’re 100 percent sure you won’t be looking for a job in the future, it can be convenient to have at least your name in our database. You just let us know and this way we can make sure we won’t approach you with offers we think are a match. Without consent to be included in our database, we don’t know whether you do not want to receive offers or if we’ve just never contacted you before.

Due to the purpose limitation in the GDPR, data may only be used for it’s original purpose. This means we can only contact you with treasury recruitment topics.

In summary, we will update our database and website. We will reach out to ask for your consent for future contact.

We are available for questions,

Joep van Schijndel
