The Treasurer Test in our recruitment

Over the last three years I have, together with many others, worked hard and persistent on realizing the Treasurer Test. Our goal was, and is, to create an objective measuring tool to screen candidates for corporate treasury positions. Main reasons to do so are:

  • The corporate treasury labour market holds candidates with many different backgrounds: from many countries, with varying educational and industry background. Comparing them can be hard;
  • There is no (at least not yet) standard in treasury education and less than 20% of treasurers completed a dedicated treasury training. In other job types standardized qualifications make recruitment decisions easier;
  • For non-treasurers who have to make recruitment decisions, objective input will help them in this processes;
  • The set of tasks treasurers work on varies strongly per company. The Treasurer Test measures various subsets in the overall treasury tasks;
  • Recruitment decisions gone wrong, are often not related to tasks but the personality of the candidate and the match with the company culture. The Treasurer Test includes a scientifically sound Big5 assessment.

Treasurer Test integrated in our services
With the first version of the Test completed and Treasurer Search being one of the launching partners, we will integrate this tool in our services. You can purchase the Treasurer Test for €595, if you work with Treasurer Search the pricing model will be very different

  1. In exclusive, retainer based assignments we will pay attention to the measured aspects in our intake meeting. In coordination with our client, we will ask candidates that are in the final stages of the recruitment process to do the Test. A maximum of three Treasurer Tests are included in our services. For every extra Treasurer Test you will receive 50% discount.
  2. In non-exclusive assignments, our client can buy the Test with 25% discount for candidates presented by us and also for candidates they received through other channels. If the tested candidate will be recruited and is presented by us, we will deduct the full amount paid for the Treasurer Test from the placement fee.
  3. Many of the candidate meetings we have, are not related to a specific assignment. Candidates contact us in their career planning. We talk about next steps, about education, about the current labour market situation, salaries, et cetera. If a candidate wants to use the Treasurer Test and its results in this meeting, we can offer a 50% discount under the condition that we will receive the Treasurer Test results.
